Video and writing solve different problems
A video proves what the movement looks like. Writing names the part you need to remember. Good learning uses both: watch the shape, read the move, then return to the exact moment.
Player POV removes a hidden translation
Direction should mean the direction the player sees. Right hand should stay right hand. A learner should spend attention on the string, not mentally mirroring a teacher who faces the camera.
The string needs names that survive the trick
Bearing strand, knot strand, resting strand, and finger strand describe a strand by its job at that moment. That is more useful than calling everything “the string.”
A notation system grows through use
StringScript is intentionally readable before it is clever. Every approved tutorial gives it a harder real-world test. The language should earn each new symbol by making a move clearer for humans.
